This sign turns out to be 15" tall and 18" wide. It can be made on a Glowforge with 3 sheets of material. It may look difficult with all the small letters, but the base of the sign is scored, showing you where to place and glue each letter. It will take a little patience but it's totally worth it!
 
The "Moms are Like Buttons" sign is a fun vintage style that goes with any decor. Patterns for the different sizes and shapes of buttons are also included. You can make them in various combinations for customized look and style. Also included is a hanger you can glue on the back of the sign.
 
INSTRUCTIONS: Cut out pieces for the sign. For the base and text of the sign in the picture, I used Pure Bond Hickory in 1/4" thickness. The frame and hanger is cut from 5mm Revolution ply. Then then used the wet wipe method on the text and frame with white acrylic paint. Next, line up the base pieces. Dry fit the base layer frame. Use wood glue to attach and clamp with binder clips to hold in place. Dry fit the top and bottom frame pieces. Glue on with super glue or wood glue and clamp or hold in place until dry. After the frame is on, arrange text pieces on top of the scored wood pattern. Then attach with wood glue. For the buttons, I painted and then arranged them how I wanted, then tied the little stacks together with embroidery thread and attached to various places on the sign with super glue.
